Anoor R. Anantha Krishna Sharma
Son of the famous violinist and renowned music teacher, Late Anoor S.Ramakrishna,
Anoor R.Anantha Krishna Sharma was initiated into training in Mridangam under
Vidwan R.A.Rajagopal, a highly accomplished Mridangam/ Ghatam artist.
Starting at 15, he proceeded to perform in all the leading Sangeetha Sabhas
in Bangalore, Chennai and all over India. He has accompanied many senior as
well as young musicians including vidwans like R.K.Srikantan, Dr.Balamurli
Krishna, M.L.Vasanthakumari, Bombay Sisters, etc.
Known
as a consummate percussionist as well as a music composer, Anoor R.Anantha
Krishna Sharma has many recordings to his credit. He has traveled far and
across the world as an accompanying artist, as composer and also to conduct
workshops.Well versed with other percussion instruments such as Thavil (Dolu),
Tabla, Pakhawaj and even a good vocalist he has performed extensively in Germany,
Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland, England, Australia, USA, etc.His talent has
been richly rewarded during all these years. He was awarded 'Best Mridangam
Artist' in 1981 by the Gayana Samaja and by the Madras Music Academy in 1996.
The Ramakrishna Bhajan Samaja honoured him in 2003 with 'Nada Laya Samrat'
and in 2005 he was bestowed the 'Nada Chintamani' from the Chintamani Gayana
Samaja. Associated with several music organizations and engaged in propagation
of classical and non-classical music he is imparting training to many students
who are in various stages of their career.

B.S. Arun Kumar
A dynamic young percussionist, Vidwaan B.S. Arun Kumar is inspired by his
father, himself a drummer, Sri B.S. Sukumar. Starting at the age of seven,
he began Carnatic percussion training under Sri S.V. Giridhar. Arun continued
his advanced training under the able guidance of Layakala Pratibhamani Sri
Anoor Ananthakrishna Sharma. He is presently learning the subtleties of
jazz drumming under renowned drummer Sri Ranjit Barot.
